Shepherds Highlands is one of the most prestigious communities in the city of Heath, in Rockwall County. Shepherds Highlands consist of Fifty-Two acres encompassing 34 homes and homesites, as well as 15 acres of forest, pond, and meadow nature reserves. The 5 acre meadow reserve is forever open -- protecting the views of the lake, the sunsets, and the night time splendor of the city's lights across the lake. The 10 acre forest and pond reserve is forever open with wooded trails and many species of unusual trees and plants. Both the 5 acre and the 10 acre reservesare deeded to the Shepherds Highlands Association and are dedicated Wild Bird Sanctuaries. Security and privacy for the 34 homes and sanctuaries are provided by the electronic gate system at the entrance.
