Discover What "Living in Nature" Truly Means:
Residents & visitors in Shepherds Highlands enjoy living in nature. The views of nature's sunset will be open forever as the 5 acre meadow reserve guarantees so. Many years from now these views will be especially rare as growth of the Metroplex continues.
The reserve provides sanctuary for many species of wild birds and animals including raccoons, opossums, bobcats, beavers, and an occasional fox. Sightings of mallards, wood ducks, road runners, scissortails, doves, robins, mockingbirds, great blue herons, green teals, and great horned owls are everday occurances. Sometimes even more rare species can be seen. It's important that without this sanctuary, these creatures would be driven out and our residents would not be able to truly understand the daily pleasure of "Living in Nature".
